About Me
I'm a graphic designer with 16 years of experience helping brands figure out who they are and how to show up in the world. That includes everything from logos and brand guides to print layouts, social graphics, and environmental graphic design.
My path to get here was a little winding. I started at an agency, which sharpened my craft and speed. Then I spent time at a newspaper, which gave me a deep respect for layout. But most of my career has been spent in higher education, and that's where I've had the opportunity to do what I love most: build cohesive brand systems and help the next generation of students find their footing. These days that means brand strategy, design execution, and mentoring junior designers, which honestly might be my favorite part of the job.
I'm a deliberate thinker. I tend to be the person who asks a lot of questions before picking up a pencil. I like to understand the why behind a project, and I care a lot about getting the details right.
Outside of design, I have a background in fine arts, geology, and Spanish, which makes for a fun cocktail of interests. I'm genuinely curious about art, science, and culture, and I think that curiosity makes me a better designer.
